This interactive workshop is a unique opportunity to learn from a renowned improviser, composer, and sound designer. Participants will explore the creative use of the studio as an instrument in the composing process. First we’ll develop source material through recording improvisations. Then we’ll create a library of sounds through sampling, audio effects, non-linear editing, digital processing, etc. From there, participants will sculpt a composition through layering, editing, and mixing. A great opportunity to experience the potential for using the recording and mixing process as an integral component in composing. Limited to eight.
